Spirit of the Horse Garden

The Spirit of the Horse Garden was created by the Langley Horse Federation in partnership with Metro Vancouver Regional Parks, the Township of Langley, the Horse Council of BC and many horse lovers. The garden incorporates 1/3 acre of land and is located on the north side of Campbell Valley Regional Park Equestrian Centre.

Unique in Canada, this beautiful garden was created to celebrate the horses and ponies in the lives of many individuals - a quiet haven for horse lovers to contemplate and celebrate memories of their faithful friends. Meandering brick walls, granite benches and a memory lane of bricks lead to the Spirit Courtyard display of inscriptions and personal messages.

The garden has been championed by Joy Richardson, past president of the Langley Horse Federation. She has been in negotiations over the years with Pacific Parklands Foundation to leave a bequest to keep the horse garden maintained.

The garden requires regular tending and stewardship and your contribution will help to sustain its continued existence. A “Friends of the Horse Garden” group is being set up to raise funds to help keep the garden flourishing.
