A Visionary is someone who thinks about the future of our region. Using their wisdom and knowledge, they help to plan and create a sustainable natural world for all to enjoy. A visionary knows how important it is to connect both children and adults to nature. Their major gifts and bequests help to make their vision of a sustainable regional park system that is available to all, well into the future, a reality. A visionary knows that more funding will be needed in the future to protect and enhance our regional park lands and to create new parks and greenspaces whenever that opportunity arises, today or in the future.
A Champion is a person who enthusiastically supports and advocates for our regional parks. This person knows the value of nature and recognizes that the needs of the parks go beyond maintenance and operations. A regional park champion gives their time and/or financial support to enhance our regional parks and ensures that the work of the Foundation, will continue. A champion helps Pacific Parklands Foundation make our regional parks accessible to all and the best they can be.
A guardian is one who guards or defends nature in general and our regional parks in particular. Whether they are volunteering to pull invasive species, planting trees or shrubs, or banding birds, protectors help keep our regional parks healthy and safe for all to enjoy.
