Metro Vancouver is responsible for the maintenance, operations and planning of the regional parks system. Pacific Parklands Foundation is the fundraising arm of Metro Vancouver Regional Parks, and provides additional financial support needed to realize special projects and initiatives that fall outside of what government funding is able to provide. This includes supporting regional park associations, non-profit groups that work with regional parks staff on projects and activities ranging from habitat restoration to nature education to special events.
Our long-time, committed friends at Metro Vancouver Regional Parks are a vital fund raising resource for Pacific Parklands Foundation. A portion of our annual budget comes from a generous annual contribution from Metro Vancouver while the remainder is raised through the generosity of individuals and corporate donors. PPF is incredibly grateful for this ongoing support and as a result we have some of the lowest administration costs in the charitable sector – virtually all of your donation goes directly to support and enhance your regional parks.
Members of our Metro Vancouver family serve as volunteers on our Board and sit on committees working alongside other members in our community. In addition to volunteering their time, Metro Vancouver staff help Pacific Parklands Foundation deliver their mission by supporting events and fundraising initiatives.
Give today and protect these treasures for the future.
