Experience the Fraser is a project that involves Metro Vancouver, the Fraser Valley Regional District, the Province of BC, municipalities, First Nations, community groups, and the private sector. The goal of this project is to connect communities and parks along the Lower Fraser River. This will be done through the creation of 550 kilometres of multiuse trails, 43 percent of which are already in place.
Pacific Parklands Foundation is very excited to see a trail system taking shape that will one day connect parks like Iona Beach, Colony Farm, Derby Reach, Glen Valley, and Matsqui Trail via a regional network of trails. The Fraser River is so rich in history and natural beauty that is ready and waiting to be shared.
