Tomorrow, November 9th, 2011 the Pacific Parklands Foundation will celebrate its 11th birthday at the Vancouver Convention Centre.
A huge milestone, our 11th birthday marks 11 years as a non-profit organization dedicated to the preservation and enhancement of Metro Vancouver’s regional parks. With 22 regional parks in Metro Vancouver, covering more than 10,000 square hectares we are proud to serve the region by raising funds to expand and improve our parks beyond the basic necessities.
The Pacific Parklands Foundation has worked with government, businesses, community leaders, other non-profit organizations and groups, and individuals for over a decade and together we have made a difference. Successes include the Burnaby Lake Viewing Tower Replacement Project, Camp Capilano Wheelchair Access Upgrade, Colony Farm Heritage Building Restoration Project, Camosun Bog Restoration, Catching the Spirit and many more!
The Pacific Parklands Foundation also recently gave out the Dr. M. Wosk Award at Parksfest 2011. The Foundation was also responsible for collecting donations to serve as the Parksfest 2011 door prizes!
As we celebrate our 11th birthday we are not only reflecting back on all we have accomplished but we are also looking forward to what the next 11 years will bring!
In honour of our 11th birthday we ask that all of our supporters head to www.fuellingchange.com and vote for PPF until we earn the $100K for the Centennial Beach Pond Restoration Project!
Thank you to all of our dedicated supporters, donors, volunteers, and our wonderful Board of Directors! We look forward to working with you for many more years to come!
