Busy with Bus Grants!
Thank you dedicated donors!
The Bus Grant Program is getting some very colourful feedback! And we mean COLOURFUL. Local emerging artists (and some very talented school groups) have been sending in thank you pictures and cards along with their glowing final reports detailing all their favourite moments from their regional park expeditions. Some stand-outs include finding a sand dollar (and respectfully leaving it where it was found), playing in the warm water, and building rock bridges with classmates. We are happy to pass along this great big ‘thank you’ along to all our donors who have made the Bus Grant Program such a success.
Hmm… Tell me more!
At Pacific Parklands Foundation we believe that everyone should be able to enjoy Metro Vancouver’s beautiful regional parks. No one should be deprived of accessing nature and its healing and learning benefits because of their age, income, background, or abilities. Unfortunately, the reality is that many groups face barriers to accessing Metro Vancouver’s regional parks. One of the main obstacles they face is a lack of funds for transportation to and from the parks.
If you’re interested in helping youth, seniors, or groups that face barriers in accessing the regional parks, consider donating to the Bus Grant Program. A $500 donation will pay for 50 people to take our Pacific Parklands Foundation Bus in partnership with YVR and SkyLinx to a regional park of their choosing. However, any donation large or small, will make a difference in contribution towards a life-changing nature experience for members of our community.
