This campaign asks you to become a Green Angel by reducing garbage this season.
The campaign’s website enables people to send e-cards, share ideas on how to reduce garbage and create lasting homemade gifts, and learn how others have done so previously.
I strongly suggest taking a look at some of the suggestions as you make your list. For instance, consider giving your parents a restaurant gift certificate and tell them to use it for that much needed date night. If you are struggling to come up with ideas for a significant other, why not buy passes for a local attraction or plan a mini vacation? For instance, take ski, snowboard or skating lessons at one of the local mountains or head to Whistler to try out ziplining!
Beyond that, the “Create Memories, Not Garbage” campaign and website itself are aimed to be educational in that they strive to teach the public about Metro Vancouver’s waste issues.
Visit http://www.metrovancouver.org/christmas/Pages/default.aspx to check out the campaign and make use of the website.
I encourage you to incorporate at least a little of this campaign in every gift that you give and become a Green Angel!
