Leap years are years with one extra calendar day than normal. While typically there are 365 days in a year, every 4 years leap year is added to the end of February. This means every 4 years there are actually 366 days in a year.
Many of us catch ourselves wishing we had more time – an extra hour in the day or an additional 5 or 10 minutes here and there.
Today, February 29, 2012 – leap year, gives us a whole extra day.
Why not enjoy it?
We may not be able to stop time or even pause it but today we can make an effort to do something for ourselves and the ones we love on this extra February day.
Take your family out to one of our regional parks and spend sometime outdoors together!
