Join the Metro Vancouver Passport Program and Win Prizes
To mark the 50th anniversary of Metro Vancouver’s Regional Parks, we have launched the “23 Regional Parks Passport Program.”
It’s a great opportunity for you to challenge yourself to explore the beauty of your region. Our free tools will help you get out and see the wonderful wilderness areas — beaches, forests, rivers, trails, and wetlands — that exist right here in our own backyard.
It’s simple. To join the Passport Program, just sign up here and we’ll send you two free gifts:
- A free copy of the Regional Parks Passport, a soft-cover booklet that is full of maps, events, and facts about the history, wildlife, and notable features of each regional park.
- The latest copy of the Check It Out newsletter from Metro Vancouver which lists all the upcoming events in the regional parks. There are dozens of activities for all ages.
As you explore our regional parks, take your Passport with you and collect stamps for every visit to a park or nature house to earn commemorative stickers, crests, or pins. You also have the option of entering to win prizes from Pacific Parklands Foundation.
When you visit the parks, don’t forget your camera and please consider sharing some of your photos with other park lovers via our #loveourparks page.
If you’d prefer to use your phone to track your park visits, the Passport is also available as a smartphone app via Google Play or by searching “MV Passport” via the Apple App Store. You can collect virtual stamps in your passport on your visits.
Spending time in nature has numerous health benefits, both physical and mental. It’s been proven that time spent outdoors helps:
- Relieve stress
- Improve concentration
- Inspire greater creativity
- Create a healthier immune system.
Give yourself the gift of happiness by taking the 23 Regional Parks Passport Program.
They don’t call it the great outdoors for nothing!
