Join us a day early (Sunday April 21st) to celebrate the successful rebuild of the Bell-Irving Hatchery in Kanaka Creek Regional Park in Maple Ridge.
The Annual Goodbye Chums event will be held Sunday April 21st in Kanaka Creek Regional Park from 11am to 3pm. This year, there will be a special opening ceremony from approximately noon to 1pm to celebrate the reopening of the Bell-Irving Hatchery.
We invite you tour the new facility, release chum, plant shrubs, learn about Pacific Parklands Foundation and how you can get involved in the campaign for phase two, drop off your pennies in support of the Kanaka Creek Watershed Stewardship Centre, watch a puppet show, play games, and mingle with the crowd.
Do not let your pennies weigh you down! Find us in the tent near the new hatchery immediately upon your arrival and we will take them off your hands.
