The July weather is a perfect time to play outdoors, so why not buy locally grown produce and even pick them yourself! There are ton of activities to do and see at the Krause Berry Farms & Estate Winery in Abbotsford.
U-pick is a summer favourite! Visitors can go out into the fields and pick their own berries and then they’ll be weighted and priced accordingly. The raspberry U-pick fields are no open but the strawberries, blackberries and blueberries will not be available until the middle of July. Bring along the kids, they will love playing in their Berry Basket play area and visiting their Petting Farm.
The Krause Farm’s Market is stocked with all sorts of homemade goodies from several kinds of fruit pies, shortcakes, ice cream and berry milkshakes. After picking berries out in the fields, enjoy some delicious treats on their outside porch.
The Krause Farm is dedicated to growing the best agricultural crops in an environmental sustainable way. They have adopted an Integrated Pest Management (IPM) system of farming, which allows them to rotate crops in a way that reduces diseases, use organic manures and monitor pests.
