If there was any doubt in my mind, it instantly disappeared when walking the mall with my mother on Saturday. The wreaths, holly and ribbon hanging from the mall ceiling can easily be overlooked as we all know that the holidays come months early in retail.

This year it seems that more of my shopping, especially my purchasing, will be online. This is new for me as I typically do my shopping in stores and at the mall. Maybe it is the type of gifts I am looking for but for the 2012 holidays, it seems to me the stock and product variety is much better online.
Thus far in my search, I have come across a couple of unique gifts. I have to admit, they are a bit out of my price range and though the glassware is neat – it is not exactly to my taste. However, in my opinion, the cuff links are absolutely gorgeous.
For a family that regularly enjoys the regional parks, I recommend a donation to Pacific Parklands Foundation. Show your children the importance of family, outdoor activity, conservation, recreation and supporting charitable causes during the holiday season. Help teach our youth that the holidays are not all about the toys and technological gadgets they find under the tree but are more about the time we spend together and protecting the places we share for future generations. Make a contribution to help us conserve, preserve and enhance the Metro Vancouver regional parks system. Donate today.
