WildPlay Element Parks

I am happy to announce that for the 4th year in a row, WildPlay Element Parks will be donating a prize for Parksfest to help us thank the incredible regional parks volunteers!
WildPlay Element Parks currently has 5 locations including Kelowna, Nanaimo, Victoria, Mt. Sima in the Yukon, and Maple Ridge.
Much like Pacific Parklands Foundation, WildPlay is dedicated to the environment, people and the community. Their mission is to engage people in active outdoor adventure experiences – challenging everyone’s perception of life’s possibilities, and inspiring limitless evolution. They aim to evolve the human by creating challenging opportunities for their guests to step outside their comfort zones, to empower them and to give them a transforming experience. The WildPlay team strives to connect individuals with Mother Earth and Her elements in an effort to inspire the next generation of caretakers.
WildPlay takes care to build their parks using environmentally sensitive methods that mitigate harm to the forests and natural settings. If their tree courses were dismantled today, there would be little evidence of their existence. They also help to restore and revitalize outdoor areas. For instance, in West Shore Victoria and in Maple Ridge, WildPlay has helped local parks become the safe and beautiful community assets they are today. Finally, they set their activity schedule to the season. Park hours of operation are based on daylight hours meaning power is only required in the Guest Services areas (two of the parks actually feature up-cycled shipping container offices) to support computers, phones, internet and heat (only in the winter). No power is required by the Monkido course — it’s self-propelled so they leave that to you!
